Start from your existing resume, pasted or uploaded as PDF or DOCX. FitCV does not ask you to fill in forms or pick a template from a gallery of forty. It reads what you have and rewrites it for the job ad you paste next to it.
The model is told never to add facts. Then a second step, plain code, checks the output: companies must appear in your resume, dates and numbers must match, skills must be words you used, and capitalised names and tools must exist in your text. Anything that fails is removed and listed, so you see what was cut.
That matters because invented credentials come out in the interview, or in the background check. A resume that is a little plainer and fully true is worth more than one that sounds impressive and falls apart.
The result downloads as a one column DOCX or PDF with standard headings, which is what tracking systems read best.
