Most people send one resume to forty jobs. Recruiters read the first third of the page for about seven seconds, and an applicant tracking system scans for the words in the ad. If the words you use for your work differ from the words in the posting, you get filtered out even when you could do the job.
FitCV reads the job ad, pulls out the terms it repeats, and checks which of them your resume already contains. Then it rewrites your summary and bullets so the true parts that match come first, in the ad's own wording where the meaning is identical. A check in code compares the result to your original and strips any employer, school, date or number it cannot find in what you pasted.
If the ad asks for HubSpot and your resume has never mentioned it, FitCV will not slip it in. It lists it as missing so you can decide whether you really have that experience and add it yourself.
How it works
- Paste your resume or upload a PDF or DOCX.
- Paste the job ad.
- Read the match score and the missing words.
- Run the tailoring and download DOCX or PDF.
